Frequently Asked Questions
Where does the show data come from?
All TV show information is provided by TVMaze, a community-driven TV database.
Why isn't a show appearing in search?
NextEp uses the TVMaze database. If a show isn't listed there, it won't appear in search results. You can request shows be added at tvmaze.com.
How does iCloud Sync work?
When enabled, your tracked shows, watched progress, and settings are synced across your devices signed into the same Apple ID. Changes typically sync within a few seconds, though it can take up to 30 seconds on first setup.
Why am I not getting notifications?
Check that notifications are enabled both in NextEp's Settings and in iOS Settings › NextEp › Notifications. Also check that Focus or Do Not Disturb isn't blocking them. If everything looks correct, try toggling notifications off and back on in NextEp's Settings.
How do I delete a show?
Swipe right on the show on the home screen and confirm the removal.
How do I delete all my data?
Delete the app from your device. If iCloud Sync is enabled, go to Settings in the app, disable iCloud Sync, and choose to delete your iCloud data when prompted.
Does NextEp work offline?
Yes. Your tracked shows and watched history are stored locally on your device and are always available offline. Searching for new shows and refreshing episode data requires an internet connection.
